We start by exploring the magnificent district of Miraflores. We will make scenic stops along the green cliffs of the Miraflores Boardwalk so you can capture pictures of the beautiful coastal scenery at Love Park and the Navy Lighthouse. Afterward, we will pause for a brief historical explanation next to the Huaca Pucllana archaeological site, a majestic pre-Inca adobe pyramid standing in the middle of modern Lima.
San Francisco Convent & Subterranean Catacombs
Next, we depart for the Historic Center of Lima. Upon arrival, we dive underground to visit the remarkable Convent of San Francisco de Asís and venture down to explore its famous subterranean catacombs, which served as a massive public cemetery during the Spanish viceroyalty period.
Colonial Walk: Plaza de Armas & Plaza San Martín
We enjoy a panoramic view of the republican architecture of Plaza San Martín before taking a historical walk across the famous pedestrian corridor of Jirón de la Unión. Our walk opens directly into Plaza de Armas, where we will appreciate the Government Palace, Casa del Oidor and the magnificent Lima Cathedral. There will also be time for photos and purchasing crafts before boarding our transport back to the southern districts.
