Itinerary
Departure from Cusco & Taray Viewpoint
We’ll wake up early to take full advantage of this beautiful day. After breakfast at your hotel, our team will pick you up around 7:30 a.m. to board our comfortable tourist transport. We drive out of the city toward the valley, making our first brief stop at the iconic Taray Viewpoint. This is the perfect spot to capture breathtaking panoramic photographs of the vast cornfields and winding Vilcanota River below.
Pisac Ruins & Artisan Market
We travel on to Pisac, an impressive archaeological site comprised of sprawling sweeping terraces, imperial palaces, and ancient mountainside cemeteries. Your specialized guide will walk you through the highlights of this fortress. Afterward, we descend to the historic town center to explore the famous Pisac Artisan Market, widely recognized for its local silverware, vibrant textiles, and handmade ceramics.
Buffet Lunch in Urubamba
Time to tantalize our taste buds! We travel along the valley floor for about an hour until reaching Urubamba, a warm and inviting town surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Here, a magnificent traditional Peruvian buffet lunch awaits us. You can sample premium local delicacies like Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, or Ají de Gallina, paired with refreshing drinks.
The Living Inca Citadel of Ollantaytambo
Following lunch, we continue our drive to the massive archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo. Standing as an extraordinary fortress showcasing the sheer genius of Inca architecture, we’ll climb its grand terraced stone steps to reach the Temple of the Sun. You’ll walk through streets that still maintain original working water aqueducts and learn about the historic legends deeply rooted in this valley.
Chinchero Textiles & Archeology
Heading back toward Cusco, our final stop is Chinchero, a high-altitude town famous for its colorful weaving arts and rich colonial-on-Inca history. We will visit the local archaeological site and step inside an authentic weaving workshop. Local artisans will demonstrate how they use natural plants and ancient techniques to dye and weave sheep and alpaca wool into beautiful works of art.
Return to Cusco City
At the conclusion of our sightseeing route, we board our private transport for a smooth drive back down to Cusco city, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m. near the historical center with hearts full of new experiences and magical moments that will last a lifetime.
