Bohemian Barranco & Coastal Miraflores

We kick off the city tour by exploring the artistic, street-art-filled district of Barranco, visiting its central plaza and crossing the iconic Bridge of Sighs (Puente de los Suspiros). Afterward, we drive along the coast into Miraflores. We will stop at Kennedy Park, take a panoramic stroll along the green cliffs of the Miraflores Boardwalk (Malecón), view the striking modern structure of Larcomar, and appreciate Antoni Gaudí-inspired architecture at Love Park (Parque del Amor) next to the Navy Lighthouse.

Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Site

We step back in time as we visit Huaca Pucllana, a magnificent pre-Inca clay and adobe ceremonial pyramid built by the Lima Culture around 500 AD. Enjoy a comprehensive 1-hour guided tour through the core of the complex, learning how ancient civilizations constructed this massive administrative site long before the Incas consolidated power.

Time to savor Peru’s world-famous culinary heritage. We pause our tour to enjoy a delicious lunch stop at the renowned DELFINO MAR Miraflores restaurant. To complement your dining experience, we will enjoy a traditional, refreshing complimentary Peruvian Pisco Sour cocktail.

Historic Center & San Francisco Catacombs

We transition to downtown Lima’s Historic Center. Our first stop here is the monumental San Francisco de Asís Convent. We will step deep into its historical interiors, library, and venture underground to explore the famous subterranean catacombs, which served as the city’s primary burial ground during colonial Spanish rule.

Colonial Squares, Streets & Architecture

We continue on foot to explore the majestic Main Square (Plaza de Armas), admiring the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, and the Cathedral of Lima. We will then walk down the historic pedestrian avenue of Jirón de la Unión, viewing classic landmarks like the O’Higgins House and the baroque La Merced Church. Our route brings us past the legendary Hotel Bolívar before wrapping up at the grand Plaza San Martín.

Return Transportation to Your Hotel

After a rewarding, comprehensive exploration across thousands of years of Limeño history, we board our private transport for a smooth afternoon drive back south. We return to your original hotel pickup point at approximately 6:00 p.m.
